Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz (30 ml) lemon juice (fresh preferred)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) sugar syrup (2:1)
  • 2 dashes of Jerry Thomas bitters / Angostura bitters

Preparation

  1. Wet shake without the bitters.
  2. Add bitters after.
  3. Serve: In a chilled old-fashioned glass, over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish: 3 drops of bitters, drawn with a toothpick (optional) and a lemon wheel or cherry.
